The first thing you will want to do before starting to move your things into your new home is give it a GOOD deep clean. Of course, if the home you are moving to is brand new and never lived in – then you don’t have to go as deep into cleaning as you would on a previously lived in home.
If you have the funds (but let’s be real not a lot of us do right after buying a house, ha) then hiring cleaners to clean your new home before moving in would be such a treat. But if you’re like most without that option and you’re the one who does the cleaning before moving in, you want to make sure you give it a good deep cleaning so that it’s ready for all your belongings!
DEEP CLEANING ESSENTIALS
Here is a list of things to do for deep cleaning before moving in your things:
- Disinfect all doorknobs and light switches
- Deep clean bathrooms

- Clean all windows and baseboards
- Sweep and mop all floors

Most people will already have a lot of essential items from their previous home, but maybe you are moving out on your own for the very first time and you have nothing. If so, don’t worry girl-I got you!
Buying all new things for a new house can be EXPENSIVE so I recommend getting the things you don’t have that is an absolute necessity first and then gradually getting everything else.
